I’m gearing up for travel season. Although most of my road trip destinations are less than 3 hours away, I still like to be prepared with healthy travel snacks.
I have this (kind of irrational) fear of being without food when I’m away from home. And stopping at a fast food restaurant is a very last resort. So whether it’s a 3-hour trip to visit my sister or a 15-minute trip to the beach for a day of sun and sand, I always pack some sustenance.
Here’s a solid list of 12 Healthy Travel Snacks:
- String cheese
- Homemade trail mix
- Cut up vegetables (carrots, celery, cucumbers, bell peppers, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes)
- Whole fruit (apples, bananas, pears)
- Sliced fruit (oranges, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi)
- Hardboiled eggs
- Turkey, cheese, lettuce wraps
- Tuna packets
- Protein bars
Safe travels, all! What kind of snacks do you like to take with you on a road trip?
